You need at least one rec per house. AT LEAST!!! We can't give you a bid without one! Steps: 1. Make a resume 2. Find women who are alumnae in sororities that are at Ole Miss. They don't have to be from _______ house from Ole Miss, but if you find a chapter alum that would be awesome! Make sure the alumnae actually knows you, too. 3. Ask them to write you a rec NICELY. Do this yourself. My mom hates it when a girls mom emails her about writing her daughter a rec. You'll look better if you ask yourself. 4. Send all your info (resume & headshot) via e-mail to the alumnae IF the recommendation form is online (look at the sorority's website to check or the alumnae will just tell you) OR Send all your info in a big envelope to your rec but have an other envelope in the big one (yes, lots of big envelopes) that is addressed to the sororities head quarters. PUT STAMPS ON THIS ENVELOPE. Make this as easy for the alumnae has possible! 5. Send a thank you letter. Yes, I'm dead serious. You can even type it out on nice printer paper (use a nice boarder...anything for it to look nice). You can attach this to your resume and send it to the alumnae before they write your rec so they think "Why this girl is so mannered and thankful! I will definitely want a girl like that in my sorority!" Alumnae hate it when there's no thank you involved. Writing a rec takes a lot of time and it's a pain. At least act grateful with a thank you letter. 6. Wait for rush! The alumnae will handle this! :)
