1) People have to give up their top choice schools all the time for various reasons. That is why we have safety schools we will also be happy at. 2) Ole Miss is far one of the greatest schools in the nation. Yes, it is a great university that gives so many opportunities to their students, especially with scholarships, but they don't even crack the top 100 in the rankings. That doesn't mean it isn't a good school because it certainly is but it is no where near the prestige of UNC, Stanford, UPenn etc. 3) That post about Alabama wasn't even insulting. I have friends who are huge Auburn, MSU, and LSU fans but came to Ole Miss because they had better opportunities regarding scholarships and academics. I know quite a few people actually. All she was simply asking was that if it would actually hurt her for liking Alabama. If you got insulted by that, then you need to toughen up. Some people take things to personally on this website whether it is PNMs, actives, or alumni.
