Technically all you need is one rec for the sorority to issue you a bid, as per most sorority national rules. However, this is ole miss! Girls have been collecting recs and support letters for years now in preparation! The answer to you question is that yes, one will do, but your options will be limited during rush. Especially if you got those recs off a general website and not from ladies who actually know you! There is a little box on most rec forms that state whether or not the rec writer knows the girl personally. If the writer does not know you personally, your rec will hold little to no power.
