There is a huge difference in "out of state" being from the South OR being a Yankee. Southern girls (Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, the Carolinas, etc) will fit into most chapters with no problem. They just need to have the rest of the "sorority package". Girls from Texas, the Carolinas, California do very well. Girls from up north, not so much. It will be harder for them, but certainly not impossible to get a bid.
