I'm an incoming freshman from Dallas and I am planning to be a preferred walk-on at Quarterback on the football team (I'm a hair too short and white for most D1 scholarships.) In addition to the possibility of "playing" football I would like to rush, particularly Sigma Chi. My Dad and my uncle are both Sigs (Texas Tech chapter) and I have heard great things about the Ole Miss chapter. My question is what is the typical process for athletes rushing? And secondly will being out of state hurt me too much during rush? I know this is a bad place to ask this question but it's just preliminary and my only regular contacts at Ole Miss are football coaches; not the right people to ask.
