I'm a freshman in a sorority at an ACC school and I was considering Ole Miss during my college selection process. I'm from Raleigh, North Carolina, and even though my family is extremely wealthy, I have no sorority legacy connections, no ties to Mississippi in any way, and went to public school. The primary reason why I decided not to come here is because of how I've heard sororities do selections here. Like yes everyone says that tier doesn't matter and you'll be happy wherever you end up, but I think that picking someone based on their legacy status or where they're from makes no sense. Someone's mom could've been a KD here and her daughter who comes and gets a bid from KD due to her legacy status could be a terrible human being. I just think that legacy status and hometown shouldn't matter.
