i do have to agree on this, rush is significantly harder for OOS women, as southern women going through rush have the advantage of ties to certain houses and high profile recommendations from alum of a specific house on the ole miss campus. For some reasons, whether it be tradition or just the concept of southern pride, sorority row houses and XO are very southern based. That doesn’t mean you’ll immediately get cut, but you will have to be an Ole Miss legacy or multiple time legacy to be a part of them. Rush is an emotional time that takes a lot out of you, especially if you’re a northern girl who doesn’t have many in-house ties. But, in the end, the house that bids you WANTS you to be a part of their sisterhood and you will get a bid... coming from a northern girl, i wouldn’t get too hung up on social status of houses anyway. that concept deteriorates after freshman year anyway.
