Some girls put all their information in a folder or rec packet to give to alums writing recs. They are usually color coordinated with the PNMs name on the front. They include resume, photos, transcript, mailing envelopes (including postage), etc. It keeps everything all together for your rec writer. Folders can easily be put together by the PNM, but there are plenty of Etsy shops and websites that offer the service too. Most (but not all) sororities prefer online recs so they never even see the folders, but some alum groups send the folders to the chapters after submitting recs on line. Rec folders or packets are very nice and make writing recs easy for the rec writer, but they are NOT 100% necessary and certainly not mandatory.
