No, it's only true on greekrank. It's not true in actual sorority life. There is no bid list until after pref. Older chapters here have lists of girls that they already know personally and have a good idea of yes or no way before recruitment. That is very okay. They have known these girls for years. There are also chapter legacies who need consideration, which is very okay, and even all those don't eventually make the bid list. But there is always room for some exceptional girls to impress everyone and be wanted. It happens every year but no one wants to acknowledge that! If you are not one of those known, or legacy, or exceptional girls, then you say "unfair, they should have taken me after knowing me only three days because I think I am better than girls they have known for years."
