To all the Mississippi Moms saying that no one will want this girl, please shut up. You had your time to be in Greek life in 1985. You’re no longer relevant. Let the actives handle this one. My chapter actually really rushed a girl from Australia hard last year. She was only going to be there a short amount of time but we still really wanted her. Unfortunately, we didn’t get her and we were super sad about it. The point is, YES you have a chance. You should ASBOLUTELY register for recruitment and go through the process. Sisterhood isn’t just for 4 years, it’s for life. Even if the only year you’re in America you spend it with the chapter, that’s still going to be a year that you enrich the sorority and they enrich you. If you did it and loved it so much, you could even talk to your home university and start a chapter back in Australia after you go home. There are a lot of options. Don’t let these bitter moms tell you you have no chance because I know my house would absolutely bid you.
