All the sororities will take girls from the south. Chi-O, DDD, DG, and KD will require some form of Ole Miss legacy/connection. It helps to have an Ole Miss connections with Kappa and Phi Mu, but they are more open to good resumes, GPAs and Recs. AOPi and Pi Phi are competitive for OOS and OOR and will make decisions based more on resumes, GPA and Recs. ADPi, Alpha Phi and Theta are excellent sororities for OOS/OOR students and resumes and Recs will be important during recruitment, the GPA is a little lower for these three however they have been improving over the past few semesters.
