The real deal is that nothing is promised. I've seen "wow, how did that happen" more than once and I've seen legacies cut fast because of entitlement. Didn't matter if she had inside connections. The only time I saw a super-entitled PNM legacy get into her legacy house was when her sister was already a member. And even then the sister begged the chapter to pledge her. We voted her in with our noses held.
