Don't focus on any specific sororities during rush! That will stop you from paying attention to others and sororities can pick up on that. I did that and wound up getting cut from not only the houses I was fixated on (seriously, I think I was trying too hard to make them like me even though I knew girls there and that's never appealing), but also many others....so my choices at the end were very, very limited. I really believe it's because I was disinterested in many houses and overly fixated on some and members could tell. All sororities have girls from everywhere...yes, some have more girls from OOR and some are composed of more girls from Mississippi and Deep Southern states, but please - be open to every single one. Don't go asking around either because that can skew your perception. Be interested in every single house because you just don't know which house you will fall in love with. And there are exceptions to every rule - some more traditionally Southern houses have some Northern or West Coast members and those with more OOR houses have Miss. and Southern girls.
