I also think it's easier for someone coming in with no connections and no preconceived heart set on one sorority. I know as an OOS student I didn't really care about the 'tiers'. Even after I got here and watched all the Mississippi girls having panic attacks over rush I just decided to enjoy myself and the experience. I probably would have been happy no matter how it turned out, but it did work out for me, not because of the 'tier' I in but because I like my sorority and my sisters. I have friends in all the sororities and I like the Greek system here, I actually think we have one of the best in the country.
