if you think oxford is the "biggest" small town, then i can guarantee you you are missing a few teeth it's a cool little town. a lot nicer than what you'd expect if you never been here. but post above hits it, it gets boring and boring very quick. and a lot more boring than what you'd expect from just one campus visit. esp this past year, where you play bama the 3rd week and you lose in a blood bath and everyone gives up on football. and it's been too cold for most of the school year for the pool. planned on dropping because dues got too expensive and i've made a friend group but i just couldn't. it's still boring here while being in a sorority. keep in mind college is 2 maybe 3 hours a day, not 8am to 3pm like high school. also chances are you won't be as involved around campus as you were with high school (cheer, soccer, volleyball)
