Agree with everything the above poster wrote. And to the OP, I'd add this: I have known some students who felt that when they got to Ole Miss, students weren't as friendly as they had been during their visits so they were disappointed (my experience is that it's non-Southerners who said this; not all, of course, but some). And a Game Day visit is a great experience, but those are six games a year so don't base coming here on that. I love Ole Miss and Oxford, but if you need more things on offer, it will be an adjustment. As the poster above said, Memphis doesn't really offer much. It's a classic, Deep South small town in a very pretty setting with many people who were born and raised here or moved here to teach at Ole Miss. Lots of retirees too - Oxford has been named by many magazines as one of the best places to retire.
