KD is more diverse and takes more OOS students. They also aren’t inclined to accept all legacies. They will cut legacies if it isn’t a good fit. Let’s just come out and say it: for the most part, KDs are pretty and have good personalities. KD also takes girls with great resumes no matter what town, state, or high school they are from. On the other hand, DDD obviously doesn’t care about looks and personality. Many are tragic looking. DDD is more focused on legacies and high school friends (from certain high schools and towns). PNMs, especially OOS PNMs, don’t care about history. They care about sororities that make them feel special and are outgoing/fun. KDs do that even if they cut you later. At least they are nice. DDDs are knots on logs during rush. They know that a small group of actives and alums will be choosing the pledge class anyway. This is why KD is ranked higher by PNMs. I have know several PNMs to rank DDD second after pref in favor of several sororities (DDD moms in Jackson would be shocked).
