I think you might see it this way if you are an Alpha Phi. However, in reality Alpha Phi is still toward the bottom. They have had some successful recruitments but everyone has had successful recruitments even with variable quota. Alpha Phi has had the advantage of the variable quota with a quota close to 200 at some points while the top and middle have been restricted to 100 to 120. They tend to be the last resort for the students coming in with the lowest GPAs, so if their strategy is to recruit the lowest GPA they are winning. There is no way they are higher than AOPi which is seen as a strong OOS sorority and is on the same tier as Pi Phi. I will agree that Alpha Phi is probably better at using their social media {and this site which is pointless for impressing Actives).
