The four you mentioned will look at Ole Miss connections first. Ole Miss Alumnae of those sororities will have pull as those Ole Miss connections. Ole Miss Legacies will be given highest consideration GPA will also be important. You will have to ignore the Moms battles on here, they will get louder and longer as the we get closer to Fall recruitment. The best advice anyone can give a PNM is to go into recruitment with an open mind. I wish I could make PNMs understand that every sorority can provide you with a sisterhood and you will expand your circle of friends by joining if you try to make friends within your sorority. All our sororities are active on campus and raise needed funds for many worthy causes. I think sororities must be different than they were 20/30 years ago, they aren't as much of a popularity contest as they once were, now they are more of a way to enhance our college experience and possibly help build resumes and make connections. And we aren't as concerned about which fraternity consider us worthy. Most of us are worried about our next test, our GPAs, fitting in time for activities which aren't all tied to our sorority, what to wear to formal, find an internship and just generally surviving to the end of the semester. I know I can't speak for every sorority member but this is how my friends and I view sorority life.
