means nothing. top houses are based on legacy (biggest factor), then the few girls from the same high school/town. having a random girl follow you and send you a card half way through your senior year doesn't mean she's going to pick you over a friend from her high school (with the few spots left after legacies fill up). but it's a bad sign if you don't follow back. but don't expect anything out of them following you. most cards are bought in bulk and given by the houses to sisters to give to high school PNMs. also they follow u bc they know you will follow back and like pics
