I am from MS and while most of the stuff you're saying is true, you have to give us a little credit. We are a state with a small population and we are poor. So obviously there isn't going to be much wealth. And I accept that. But that doesn't mean we don't have any wealthy and affluent people, because we do, there just aren't as many (which makes sense). Believe it or not, there actually are places you can go and see multiple million dollar houses all together. Maybe not driving for 10-15 minutes straight (because you could drive all the way through pretty much every city in MS in that time frame), but multiple large neighborhoods. And, big shocker here, they drive luxury cars too! and pay for their kids' private school! and the mom doesn't work! Wow! I bet you're shocked and you're about to say it's all a "hand me down". We have old million dollar houses that have been passed down or bought, and really new ones. We have wealthy families who choose to live in a less flashy house, and we have people who live in houses they can't afford. We are not as wealthy as places like Nashville, and we know that. But don't come on here and say no one here has old money and there are barely any million dollar houses. Also some food for thought would be that homes in MS are so much cheaper than everywhere else. If you picked up a home from MS and moved it to Birmingham or Nashville, the price would jump up by a lot of money.
