I'm from the northeast. My connection to ole miss is that my dad went there - as did basically all of my aunts, uncles and cousins. They were greek and I think a few of my aunts are still really involved? They told me to send them my resume and pictures. They also told me to start getting recs now. Anyway I've always wanted to go to ole miss. I love the South, it is so different from where I'm from. But I love it. But I do wonder if I will have a chance at Greek life. From what I read here it seems like the family connections will be enough to take me to a certain point but then I don't want to wind up with nothing because they arent enough to take me all the way, does that make sense? I don't know any actives yet and everybody here says it is all about connections. I dont know what I'm asking really, but just if having connections like that really works? Will other houses drop me because of it? Everybody was in one of two sororities. I want to be Greek. I don't have to be KD or dg. I don't know where else to ask this question. If I ask one of my aunts they gush about their house which is great because they clearly love it but they dont really answer me.
