Rumor is that the school forced SAE nationals to remove the charter or (the school said) that they would never be able to return to Ole Miss as a recognized fraternity. Alumni are pissed and think SAE nationals got played and took the bluff.. Administration wants to show that they are not going to ban all greek life, that they support it going forward. There is some sort of deal to allow Sig Ep to come back early and use the SAE house for a few years but it is going to be a dry frat, no pledging, and a lot of monitoring
