Honestly a great resume doesn't necessarily make a difference with sorority recruitment. I was Homecoming Queen, Class President, had a 3.5+ GPA, and had won a few pageants - and I was cut from the "top" tiers during the first round. I was chosen by what is considered a 'Lower Middle' Tier and at first it really bothered me - but then as I got to know the girls in my sorority I discovered there were lots of former Homecoming Queens, Cheerleaders, Class Presidents, etc. We were just OOS students or Mississippi girls who weren't from the 'right' high schools or had Ole Miss connections. My point is not to bash what is considered the top tiers, but hopefully future PNMs will understand that all of the Ole Miss sororities have "top tier" girls. Not saying that I am a top tier girl but I am surrounded by them. This year I noticed more OOS girls coming to my sorority as legacies and they were WANTING my sorority, so as more time passes there will be stronger connections to all of the Ole Miss sororitys.
