Grades matter and they are an easy cut to make (although every house does it differently and has their own exceptions and gpa limits. But the only people girls are going to go out on a limb for when it comes to grades are going to be girls that they really know. Not girls that they notice going out before recruitment. Assuming you are a senior in high school the best thing you can do is work this year to boost your overall GPA and there's still time to do that.
