Your new house has roughly 400 sisters. It takes time to feel at home (despite the rah rah talk of rush) and get to know who you click with and learn about opportunities that use your expertise within the house. You have a number of weeks before you would officially join and for the next year you are pledged to your current house. What that means is you have time to learn more about the sorority and also nothing to lose if you take a few weeks to do that. I will also say that that chapter wanted YOU. They saw your attributes and wanted to spend more time with you. They knew you would be an asset. I highly encourage you to give it a shot. Sometimes with recruitment we're set up to think it's going to be an incredible connection once you "find your home," but in real life relationships take more time than that.
