I'm in a different top tier house, and if this is even real, that is not the truth. Honestly, yeah we do get really competitive when it comes to rush, but we all have best friends in other houses. We all go eat at each other's houses for lunch. We all go out together. We all have movie nights together. We may be around our own sorority sisters more, but we still love our friends in other sororities and honestly some of my best friends are in another sorority. In my wedding, there will be lots of girls from my sorority and some from others too. We all want the same girls during rush. It gets competitive and there's some tension. But after rush, this ends. I'm not trying to be mean in saying this, but KD is often so competitive about things that people kinda hate them for it. And how the feel about other houses.. idk. They're a great house that anyone should be honored to get a bid to, but they can be catty. Don't let what she said turn you off from greek life because that is not how it is. My advice to you is to go into rush with an open mind and give everyone a chance, and also don't just assume you're getting a bid to your legacy house. And encourage your friend to do the same. Top tier isn't everything and it isn't for everyone. There are so many amazing girls in every house. I know girls who pick other houses over top tier every single year and are so happy and never regret it. Also no contact period started after rush convocation so no sorority should be having PNMs over for a party, just btw.
