Top tiered sororities? I don't know where this is all coming from but a lot of it seems to be pre rush rumor. I did meet a lot of people job hunting that went to Ole Miss but being in a "top tier" sorority did not have much to do with getting a job or having a career. Your major has more importance than anything on career. Your grades that you keep up to graduate have more to do than what sorority you were in. I can sense there is a lot of stress going on at the Ole Miss campus. Relax! So much of what I'm reading on these pages is rumor. There were rumors when I rushed in 1989, but they were nothing but a source of stress. As soon as rush is over, those rumors will still be rumors. This is for the girls. You will drive yourself nuts with these questions that may not ever have an answer. Your job is to HAVE FUN, get to know as many girls as you can, have good conversation, and dress appropriately for each day. SMILE!!! I'm saying this because you will worry yourself sick. I've never heard of some of these things that are being said. Most of what you need to know has been told to you if you are rushing. Do not worry about recs and how much they count, and etc. etc. Do not engage in getting yourself unnecessarily upset over things that may not even be true! Please have fun and take a deep breathe and RELAX! :)
