There are rumors floating around that Panhellenic has decided to drop anyone who suicides. I have no idea if there is any truth to that rumor. However, like you said, even if you aren't dropped you have a 50/50 chance of also failing to get a bid if you suicide. I got my 2nd choice on bid day. I will admit I was disappointed and I was kind of jealous of girls who were screaming with joy running to their houses. I struggled for quite a while trying to fit in to a sorority I didn't feel like I fit in with and even considered dropping. I have stayed with it, but I do wonder what it would have been like to be with the sorority I felt the strongest connection to. It would be great if every girl could get their first choice, but I guess they have to even out the numbers so it doesn't always happen.
