I'm watching friends go through rush at other schools now and I don't understand about suiciding. I know everybody says don't do it, that it basically means you won't get a bid anywhere. But why? Isn't it a 50-50 chance? And isn't it better to suicide than accept a bid and drop at a place that you know from the start isn't going to be right for you? I think I'd be lucky to have a bid anywhere at ole miss when rush starts, I just don't get why people say it guarantees you don't get a bid. I'm just curious about how the lists work.
