My freshman year roommate had a crazy mama in fact wouldn't be surprised if she was the one with the cookies... her mom practically lived on campus in the days leading up to rush making sure her daughter went to the right places, looked put together going to class, etc.. etc... I even overheard her telling roommate that she shouldn't be spending so much time with me because I was "a nobody and would pledge a lower tier house"-- (for the record I am and I did and am very happy). Roommate HATED her legacy house but her mom made damn sure she didn't go anywhere else showing up every day during rush to go over exactly what she should wear, say etc... on bid day she even ran to the house with my roommate and told her "We did it!"-- it was really really creepy and deranged if you ask me. Roommate ended up transferring to a school far far away sophomore year- she claimed it was because of her major but I suspect it was really because of her mom!
