It's connections, not location. Location just fuels the connections. Why a lack of connections makes a house middle or low tier is so odd to me. You'll hear old moms and alums talking in horror about how connections guarantee quality because you personally know the girls or the families or whatever. Otherwise the girl is a "risk." Her resume may be great and she may have a strong rec letter from outside of Ole Miss, but they don't "really know" her. A girl from CT or the Bay Area couldn't possibly be intelligent, articulate, attractive, involved, have good values and be an overall good person. And even if they do, they still are not worthy. Like I said - bizarre. And incredibly limiting.
