As we get closer to recruitment you will start to hear "Find your home" and "You'll find where you belong". That's lousy advice. Truthfully you have very little to do in the decision making. The Sororities have your resume, your GPA, they meet you and then they decide. I went through rush thinking I had some say so over where I wanted to be. I absolutely fell in love with one particular sorority. I loved everything about them and they seemed to love me. I was so happy to have them to preference. Then bid day came and I was chosen by my second choice (which I had only listed because I didn't want to suicide). I was heartbroken and I felt my preference was ignored. The sorority I ended up in is fine, but I didn't have that feeling of running 'home'. I don't mean to share this with you to discourage you, but I would keep an open mind till the very end - you have absolutely no idea what will happen until bid day.
