There were women who did not receive bids. However the biggest difference between the registered recruitment number and the extended bid number was due to the personal choice of withdrawing from the recruitment process or suiciding. Usually it takes an extreme grade risk to not receive a bid, but even less desirable grades can be overlooked with the right connections to certain sororities and/or having a stellar resume in spite of the grades. Recruitment is stressful but can also be fun if you go in with the right attitude. I wouldn't add extra stress by worrying about not receiving a bid. If you really want to be a part of Greek life you should be able to find your home.
