It's true that top retaining houses have to cut 3/4 of the girls after the first day, but lowest retaining houses only have to cut 1/4. Since those houses get to keep more throughout the week, you get to know them and have girls who really like you and fight to have you stay. That being said -- unless you have terrible grades and or reputation, or no recs -- it's rare to get no bid at all.
