I should have never crossed that line, Yet here I stand, with no rewind. Blacked out, lost, and unaware, But that won’t change what isn’t fair. You gave me love, you gave me time, You made me better—now it’s crime. You deserved the world, not this regret, A story stained, a choice I’ll fret. No excuse for what I’ve done, Blame the bottle, but I'm the one. I lost my friends, I lost my place, A fool who folded, lost the race. You kept me steady, kept me whole, Now I’m just a heart grown cold. I wish you well, though words fall weak, For wounds too deep, for scars that speak. I’ll never ask to heal this break, Just know I’m sorry—my worst mistake.
