So much false crap on here about actual dynamics in Greek life. Truth: You aren't going to love everyone in your fraternity or sorority; it's like a bell curve - on the left side is a handful of members you absolutely can't stand, in the middle is most of the chapter that you are just fine and friendly with and like to different degrees, and on the right side is the handful of people you absolutely love and respect and that you will be close to for life. Finding your group of 3-5 best friends is what greek membership is all about. This doesn't mean that different groups are at war with each other, you all share the same letters and find a way to get along like adults. Any close friend group can be considered a 'clique' in a bad sense by an insecure jealous person not in it. But in a large group, especially with sororities being a couple hundred members, every chapter member finds their close friend group. It's only natural and happens in every fraternity and sorority at a certain size. If you can't handle this dynamic then consider one of the smaller chapters. There is something for everyone.
