Subject:
A preemptive “Why was I cut”

Poster Message:
PNMs here is every post-recruitment post ever: I don’t understand! Why was I cut? I’m pretty, super outgoing, get good grades, come from a good family and was the most popular girl at my high school! I got two elite houses back but I don’t get why both of them cut me. I felt an instant connection with all of the girls I met. If I drop what, are the chances of the other 6 top tier houses extending a bid through COB, even though none of them invited me back for later rounds during formal rush, which is when realistically it was going to happen if there was ever any chance? Oh I know there are 15 other houses but I just didn’t connect with any of them for some reason. I only felt a bond with the girls in the 8 houses that I could socially see myself in, even though I have no clue how Greek life works! Should I just rush again as a sophomore? PNMs to save you time here is the answer: We don’t know you. We don’t know why the house cut you. A lot of beautiful, smart women go through recruitment, so get over yourself. Your chance of getting a “top house” or even a mid house after formal is about zero percent. Rush is even harder for sophomores and you’re missing a year of Greek life. Ladies keep an open mind and maximize your options. Good luck!
