NPC sororities don't 'take who they can get' when it comes to choosing members. Each group has their own set of purposes, policies and standards of membership. NOT ONE GROUP desires a non-cohesive, 'no personality' chapter to exist. If IU hasn't the type of women a particular group needs and/or desires, that group may choose not to pledge a large number of students. Also, if any group in existence on campus hasn't the type of chapter IU students feel is a complete 'fit' for them, students will simply not join that group. Having money for a house,or even desiring housing, is something a national NPC group has to decide upon BEFORE presenting to a campus and then accepting an invitation to become a chapter. It's a possibility the IU groups having 'housing trouble' never wanted to be housed here in the first place, to be the group that made their mark as a viable chapter without the expense of being housed.
