The reason why everyone talks about SAE is not about their reputation but because of their new house. They need a bit more time to form a reputation at IU. They are the "new kids", hence the hype. ATO is not going to lose their house, nor are they less than top tier. They are one of the bigger fraternities that get a lot of hate for being big. But that being said, they do have some people rushing there just for the house, which could bring down the quality of people who get bids and sign. ^On a side note, most if not all top tier fraternities have people who just rush for the house or status, thats almost a given. ATO is not singled out in that case. DO NOT join a certain fraternity just because of the pairs, house, and status. Because if you do you are not establishing a bond with your pledge class or brothers, which in the end hurts the fraternity more than you can imagine. If everyone in a fraternity is not super close the fraternity will be shallow and the communication and team effort will be terrible, leading to fights, drama, and an overall failing fraternity. Many Fraternities get kicked off campus because the brothers do not function as one. Teamwork is critical for a fraternity. Every greek can agree with me on this. Join a fraternity because you like the guys there, not because its "Top Tier"
