Not sure if this is a troll post but I'll share my honest story/advice in case anyone else is actually in this position and reading this thread. I'll be honest. I preffed two bottom houses, but one was upper bottom/lower mid and still considered "good" by other pnms that year, and the other was constantly being made fun of and disrespected. Got my second choice - the one everyone was making fun of all of recruitment, saying they were weird, awkward, losers, etc. I spent my first two years wondering what was "wrong" with me that I ended up in an undesired house, and wasted ALL THAT TIME having anxiety and looking at this site instead of just enjoying my new house and meeting the girls in it. I missed out on a lot getting to know my pledge class because I didn't want to be there. It was stupid - I wanted to be in a sorority, and was given a bid, and still it wasn't enough because I was so shallow and really only cared about partying and status. My advice is to throw yourself into it and learn to love it. The more time you spend with the girls, the more you will start to see the valuable aspects of the chapter that this site could never tell you. And it's really cool, because you're a part of a sisterhood that not everyone else is, and you will see things on the inside that you will learn to value. At the end of the day, no house owes you a bid. They brought you in because they saw something in you, and it would almost be a disservice to yourself to ignore that and only care about status and this site without actually throwing yourself into it in real life.
