Keep in mind - you are one of over 1000+ girls. The chapters are really good at selling themselves to PNMs. They practice for recruitment. You are also one of several hundred girls who likely "love" those houses. Unfortunately, each chapter isn't going to take over 100 girls, so cuts are going to happen. They are likely going to hit some PNMs hard after the first round and the cuts will go even deeper. DO NOT TAKE IT PERSONAL!! The girls you talked to may have really liked you, but maybe your grades just weren't where they needed to be or maybe you didn't click with someone. In the early rounds, cuts are about numbers. Don't drop and see the process through. It's a cliche to hear "trust the process", but you need to do just that. If you listen to your gut, pay attention to how you feel at a chapter, how your conversations are going and let that guide you - you'll end up where you should. Don't let superficial stuff like tiers, who is known as the "hot" sorority, or who pairs with the best frat be what makes your decision to cut chapters when and if you get a chance. You are going to be spending a lot of time with the women in whatever chapter you pledge over the next few years. Who are going to be your friends? Who do you see yourself eating breakfast with in you pjs? Who do you see yourself studying with and ordering pizza late at night with? Too many girls choose based on superficial stuff. They end up miserable and will drop before initiation. The goal of being in a sorority is to build friendships that will last long after you leave college. These are women who will be life long friends and connections for you. When you are older, where you partied won't matter, but your friends from college will.
