I saw this comment on another post and it’s so true for lots of people: “ I got into one of these houses with zero connections, I’m from New York and it’s a Midwest dominated house. I wore nothing designer during rush, and I’m average looking (there are definitely girls prettier than me in “lower sororities”). I got in because I connected with the girls who rushed me and have a similar sense of humor, and I couldn’t be happier now. I know girls in the house who got in through connections, and girls who are the same as me. People make it seem like you can’t get into a good house without looks or connections, bc it’s what is convenient for them to think.
