I went through recruitment freshman year and dropped because i lost any house i had interest in. i rushed again soph yr and had an entirely different better experince and ended up joining a house i wanted freshman year that dropped me. honestly i went to more frats as a geed than i do now, and being a geed was so fun, easy to get into any frat, and theres no rules. my advice would be to have an open mind in recruitment and put effort in every house you go to. we have such an attractive campus theres hot fun girls in all the houses fr and you can find a group you vibe with literally anywhere. but if you are on the fence about settling for a house but trying to have an open mind, i would highly emphasize that dropping and living in an apartment with friends is totally fine. join a house you vibe with or drop (i have friends in top and bottom houses that hate it, so dont base it off tiers, base it off of where you feel comfortable and happy). i found going in with the mindset that the result of recruitment isnt life or death, that it doesnt have to work out and illl still be fine, really helped me the second year. also the recruitment process both years was soooo fun for me regardless of the outcomes, i made lifelong best friends in line during rush, dont be scared and have fun. be openminded, be positive, but think your decision through!
