At IU, it doesn't matter what tier you want, you will get what you get. The chapters have all of the power until preference night when you get to rank your first and second choices. The women who fare the best during recruitment are the ones who don't get their hearts set on any one chapter and weigh they options carefully. There are absolutely lovely, intelligent girls who get a handful of invitations back after open house and then there are average looking girls with average grades who get a full list. Honestly, it's a crap shoot. Best of luck to you.
