Talking to 7 or so members for a few minutes each does not give you a real feel for a chapter. You have to have shared experiences, working and playing side by side to find out if it's a fit. You should have accepted a bid and gotten to know more people over a longer period of time. Out of a pc of 50-60 if you can't find a posse of really good friends, there is something wrong with you, not the chapter.
