It is weird to think about but statistically speaking the middle tier houses (think SAE, SigEp, and Sig Pi) are actually the most selective frats. They see the highest number of rushes and pretty much all houses take around the same number of kids give or take. The reason is because some kids don't feel like they can get into a top tier house without connections or whatsoever, so most people rush the middle tier houses thinking they'll have a higher chance based on the tier structuring.
