No they don’t. If you look at the records, they do not own the land. That’s a common misconception that (personally I believe) is spread by IU to keep a sense of control over the houses. I know for a fact my house and the land we are on is owned by our nationals/housing corporation. My chapter has heard this directly from our nationals, so I know IU doesn’t own our land - meaning other houses aren’t owned by iu either. A lot are privately owned with landlords (ex: ZBT, former TKE house)
