Unfortunately you can pretty much blame “top tier” fraternities and sororities for this. They both refuse to pair with “lower tiered” organizations because of preserving their image (which is created by them). You think top tier social chairs are going to respond to a text from a bottom tier chapter’s social? Absolutely not. But in reality, it would bring Greek life together and be so much more enjoyable to be pairing with more organizations to meet more people. Our Greek life here is so divided it’s part of the reason the culture is so elitist.
