STFU yourself... only people who think that reputations and status should remain stagnant for 20 years are ridiculous. One good recruitment can changed a chapter. Chapters lose at around 25% of their membership each year. Some years you make good progress, some years you stay the same and some years you regress. Two good recruitment years in a row and the following fall you are a totally different chapter, least 75% of your membership is totally different. Didn't Shakespeare write something about protesting too much?? :)
